MT4 / MT5 EAs back testing

Hello everyone,

Why Forex Tester developers are not allowing MT4 /MT5 EAs to be tested on the platform? Honestly I bought the FT4 with so high hopes, only to find out that MT4 / MT5 EAs can't be back tested, which is a huge potential. I see so many posts on the forum regarding the same topic, all are stating that you need to have some degree of programing to change the code to .dll, which is challenging for two main reasons:

1) Not all trades are programmers
2) The EA source code might not be available.

Are there any plans to change this in the future?

Hello,

If you have .mq4 file of your EA then you can add it to the Forex Tester program via File -> Install -> Install New Strategy indicator.

As for .ex4 and .ex5 files, they are protected so it is not possible to use them in any programs other than MT4/MT5.
