Changing default timeframes when creating objects on chart

#1 Postby aprilnparker » Fri Jun 13, 2014 11:32 am

Hi there,

Is there any way to change the default timeframes selection when creating objects on a chart? For instance, when I create a rectangle on my current timeframe, by default, that rectangle will show up on all timeframes. I would like to be able to create a rectangle that is visible only on the timeframe where I draw it.. or have the option to configure object visibility on each timeframe. I am working off of one chart and changing timeframes.

Thanks
April

Hello April,

Right click on rectangle -> Edit Rectangle properties -> switch to "Timeframes" tab and uncheck all unnecessary timeframes.

After this the rectangle will be shown only on one necessary timeframe.

Hi, Thanks but I am already doing that. I would like to not have to do for every object I draw. I want to skip this step.

Hello April,

For now the new shape (rectangle, elipse, triangle) is shown on all timeframes.

You can add rectangle, open its properties, select necessary timeframes and save the settings. Then if you need to add new rectangle, please right-click on existing rectangle and select
"Duplicate Rectangle" option, in this case new rectangle will be added with the same timeframes as existing rectangle. So you don't need to change the timeframes of each rectangle.
