FT2: How to get (or get close to) NY close charts??

Hi everyone,

I would like to test price action trading techniques and would like to try and use a chart as close to a chart that has a dailly close in line with the NEW YORK CLOSE.

I know price action works on any candlestick chart but I want to make things as real as possible.

Does anyone have any ideas about how I can make this happen, get five candles a week on dailly timeframe or get full NY close charts?

Hello,

Please try setting “Shift time” parameter to “+2” in Data Center, this will allow you to see New York Close candles.

Here are my calculations (let me know if I’m wrong):
All our data are in GMT so daily candles close at 0:00 GMT.
5 PM EST is equal to 10 PM GMT (0:00 GMT+2) so you have to shift data in the program for +2 hours.
So last bar of the day will be a last bar of New York session
After this you will have New York Close charts.

Do not forget to re-generate ticks after this, so you will see the changes in Testing Mode.
