Major Economic news indicator

Hi all,

I have created and backtested again and again numerous strategies mostly on MT4 and TradeStation.

There is something that really bugged me, i had no way of avoiding violent market moves solely due to economics news releases.

I do not know how hard it would be to get your hand on formatted lists of major economic news along with their release time and import them into your system, but this would fundamentally affect the performance of any strategy, especially those who wish not to not trade news.

What are the odds and the difficutly of implementing such indicator ?

To make it simple this would keep the right quarter side of the screen to put news over bars/dots simulating bars to come.

For example right now it is 1 pm, and on the 2 pm bar I can see that there will be the: Non Farm Payroll.

So a trader may get out of the market and avoid such news.

actually we thought about this and we plan to implement news feed in Forex Tester. But the main problem is the source of data... we're not sure where we can get reliable history of news...
