Another feature request

#1 Postby Paul12 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 10:14 am

It's a simply useful one. As FT is it displays pip/point value without any decimal places.

I would like to see FT add one decimal place pip values so for example pips/point value appear as 10.4 instead of 10 etc.

This is important because it gives a far more accurate view of your back testing in terms of pips gained/lost instead of using whole numbers and losing all that extra data.

Along the same lines I would like to see new stat columns for pips added.

e.g Pips Gained, Pips Loss, Average Pips Gained/Lost per trade etc

All useful stats to know when back testing.

Please consider adding these updates to the 'to do' list for the next version.

Thanks,
Paul

Hello Paul,

Sorry I do not understand, what concrete "pip/point value" are you talking about?
Do you mean "Points" column in the "Open positions" list?

Sorry but i do not understand why we need to have decimals in "points" column... the number of points is always an integer value.

But note that you may be using 5-digits data so the value of 1 point is different for you, in this case 1 point is equal to 0.00001.

How can we have decimals in Points column if the minimal price change is 0.00001 (one point)?
