CandleStick bars not aligned with open/close price

#1 Postby VikingForce » Sat Jun 22, 2013 3:53 am

Hi,
I have a problem with the carts meaning that always the candles does not align with each other. For example a bull candle close price have to be the open price of the next candle.

In mine case how candles have been generated is completely wrong(see screenshots).

I tried for different currencies, I tried different time frames, I tried with version 2.9.3, 2.9.4, now with 2.9.6 ( from 21 Jume 2013).

Always I get the same result.

Because of this ForexTester is no use to me at all....

Please see the attachments.

Thank you for looking and fixing this as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,

#2 Postby VikingForce » Sat Jun 22, 2013 4:04 am

Hi again...
As a continuation I was looking on video tutorials from ForexTester2 web site.
I chose a random video tutorial(Placing Orders) and in the video clearly I can see you have the same problem.

Nobody did test this software ?

Please see attachment and fix it.

Kind Regards,

Updates

#3 Postby VikingForce » Sat Jun 22, 2013 7:17 am

Hi again,

I did made some research and I tried using other MT4 historic data.
The bottom line is I think FT2 is working fine, the problem resides in the "wrong" historic data that Forexite provides.

Hello,

Historical data from Forexite are not "wrong". These data has 4 digits and thats why some candles end and start in different places. You can see the same situation in 5-digits data but teh difference will be smaller so visually open and close levels will be equal.

Hi,
Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I'm having this problem/bug/feature?
I'm new to the forex world and thought after buying the software this issue would fixed itself with new data, but it hasn't.
It's very annoying and makes charts hard to read correctly (well for me at least).

Is there anything that can be done in the data center to make it less fequent visually?

Edit: would import data from MT4 work? Yes it works.... well not as frequent, will try from broker

Thanks for any advice,
Mike.

Hello Mike,

We provide historical data in our Paid Data Service (please read more info about Data Service here: http://www.forextester.com/HistoryServiceDescription)
You can find the full list of provided data here:
http://www.forextester.com/fulldatalist

Or if you have historical data from your source, you can import these data into Forex Tester using “Import from a file” button in Data Center.
After this you will be able to perform testing on these data.
Forex Tester allows to import historical data in text format (.txt, .csv) and data from MT4 platforms in .hst format.
