Forexite data misses 2 hours?

#1 Postby dema » Tue Apr 16, 2013 7:49 am

My MT4 broker consistently has data from 00:00 to 23:59 (chart time) 5 days per week... so 120 hours of total market time.

The FT2 (forexite) data starts the trading week at 23:00 and closes it at 21:00 (for the sample period below - it varies according to DST changes if you look at a larger sample)... so 118 hours of total market time.

Does anyone know why there are 2 hours less data from forexite than my MT4 broker?

Probably your broker works in GMT+2 or GMT+3 time zone so the trading week starts a few hours earlier for your broker. Forexite works in GMT+1 time zone, we convert all our data to GMT time zone so trading week starts at 23:00 in our database (when Forexite actually starts trading week at 0:00 GMT+1). Also different brokers stop trading at different time, this is OK. Probably this is a reason why you see the difference in data.
