Mike,
I'm working on a strategy which will set the trade size as a percent risk of current equity. It's easy enough to get the current equity, but I'm not sure how to find the value of a pip. For instance, with the EURUSD, when trading 1 standard lot, the value is $10 per pip of price movement. That's easy, because EURUSD is a dollar based currency pair, so this value never changes.
However, pairs based on other currencies such as USDJPY (Yen based) and EURCHF (Swiss Franc based) will have pip values that vary as the relative values of the underlying currencies vary. Is there a way within FTPro to get this value on a bar-by-bar basis?
I've looked at the descriptions in the Strategies help file for the TCurrencyInfo structure, which would seem the logical place for this information, but the descriptions do not seem to me to be clear of complete. Perhaps you could provide a more complete explanation of how to determine, for example, the value per pip of 1 standard lot of EURGBP?
Thanks again for all your hard work and assistance.
