Execute code when an object is placed on a chart

I would like to write an indicator that modifies the properties of a line when you drop it on a chart, depending on what timeframe is currently selected.

It would need to work while a test is paused, or in history mode, so the Calculate method is out. What would be the best way to do that in FT2?

I wrote something like this on MT4 and it's quite useful.
