Do you have a sample of the code for the 'Simple SMA' strategy in Forex Tester?

You can find this code after ForexTester installation in Examples\Strategies\Delphi\ folder.

Basic Questions

#4 Postby mspen » Tue Nov 24, 2009 1:17 am

1. Should everything work the same with Windows 7?

2. Will the new .net versions of Visual C++ work or do I need Visual C++ 6.0 prior to the .net stuff? I noticed that the version of C++ express has changed to the .net stuff in the 2008 version.

3. Do I need to download new libraries for each new minor release of ForexTester?

Hello,

1) Yes everything should work the same in Win 7

2) Yes, you need prior to the .net C++, currently we don't have .net API

3) Usually no, we don't change API very often, but if you need some new functions - of course yes

3. All previously created indicators and strategies are supported without recompillation by later versions of Forex Tester. So, you can use even old API versions to create your indicators and everything will work fine. New API versions have extended functionality compare to old.
