Most traders can tell you their overall profit or loss, but ask them why they’re losing money on Thursdays or why their EUR/USD trades consistently underperform, and they’re stumped. The answers aren’t hiding in your charts — they’re buried in your trading history.
Here’s how to export your complete MT4 trade history for analysis:
Step 1
Access the MT4 Terminal window by selecting View -> Terminal, or clicking on “Terminal” at the bottom or pressing Ctrl+T.
Step 2
Select the “Account History” tab within the Terminal window.
Step 3
Right-click on the area where your trade history is displayed and select the desired custom period to include in your MT4 trade report if needed.
Step 4
Again right-click on the area where your trade history is displayed and select “Save as Report” from the context menu.
Step 5
Select a location on your computer to save the file as .html
Step 6
Click Save to export your trade history.
